Nothing Is New

“Nothing is new
under the sun!” Sorry,
can’t buy that! Man ill fated then, to
dog-paddle eternally in pools of mediocrity -- never
destined to attain higher pinnacles of physical,
spiritual development? – cursed to always relive the
same themes, patterns; to struggle with repetitive
developmental flaws, manifesting as both inner and outer
soul corruption...rejecting unique
new arrangements, by refusing to alter
programmable psychic disks? – not
capable of exploring the possibility of an evolving
trans-formative mind, with an equally capable feeling heart…

Were I to accept any of this, I would never
write another word of poetry….

Joe Dimino...I shall venture my observation.' I Am sure you will think on it.? As i beleive you do Not shy away from a debate.? Although thats not What I proffer.' Solomons quote; I note.' In the Old testement (was wrote!) yet Jesus came that Mankind could be 're newed' as we advise so Many to do.' There are other biblical lessons i Could quote.' Yet I will rest here my study.' Each Day can be new under Gods sun.' you can get on board with Him, if you'll sail through Yeshua His Word and His chosen One.'

Your Divine Spirit is an open book of spontaneous reference. I have met people who seldom read the bible...yet, most every word they speak and action they take, is Biblically correct. Am I saying, no need to read the bible? Absolutely not -- if a sense of emptiness, loneliness, dissatisfied existence, read, devour, savor! With ultimate goal of becoming....

I agree totally; each new day is a form of renewal. Everyone of us, can be new in Christ each day. My only difference with you, Joe, and with most Christians is, I do not believe in eternal damnation for any man. I do not believe anyone should come to Christ for fear of damnation. Love is the vehicle. I do not believe that Christ will return until we return Him, by way of our own spiritual purification. At this point, in human spiritual evolution, we are nowhere near His return. Thousands of years yet. His return is our own transfiguration, transformation to Christ like personification.

I think often about what has been said in poetry but whatever was said was in the context of that person’s reality or imagination, etc… Somehow there is more..Yay!

Thank you, Kim; I agree. We are all a little different, and poetry comes from individual hearts. So, there will always be opportunity for unique perspective.

We should never take anything out of context. I'm sure did not mean the saying literally.

The phrase "nothing new under the sun" means that everything has been seen or done before. It suggests a cyclical nature to life, where history repeats itself, and originality is difficult to achieve. The phrase originates from the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible, where the author reflects on the monotony and futility of life without divine purpose. Summary copied from Google search. Sounds about what I surmise. Personally, I am not sure of anything. Yet, believe. Does that make any sense? Blind? Faith?

Aha! Seems that Mr. Shakespeare had the 'willies' about flying above the sun!... As they say: No limit to what the mind of man can conceive... ~ gw

Hi Gershon; perhaps. Often an author does not necessary publish his core beliefs...but what fits the theme of a particular work. So, difficult to tell.

an inspirational write, Joe! Nothing new?! I bristle when I hear someone say that...just unfathomable to me...growing spirituallly and evolving is important to me ... new every day. Don't want to waste the gift of life given to me. Well done, have a blessed evening, Sara

Like riding over a corduroy road: if you go quickly you do not fall into the ruts, and bounce around as much.
