Nothing But Memories

I have nothing but memories
 everything else slips and slides
 into crevices hiding their importance.
That is enough to sustain me
 in the lonely years and heartaches to come
 friends and family may disappear
I have nothing but memories
 to keep me  protected
 held safe in love and its memory.
