Nothing But Darkness

so think about the things
that we will have to struggle through
darkness
nothing but darkness
no sun to gaze no painted hue
so many people are sure to falter
at this most treacherous of plights
those who are the stronger
will see the dawn of a new light
for those not strong enough
there is mercy
And there is life
someone will pick them up
and carry them away from the strife

Nice simple descriptiveness in this write. However, one small correction is needed: At the end of your fifth line, you are incorrectly using the word "hew". That is a verb meaning to strike something in order to cut it. What you want is "hue"; that's a noun defined as a colorful object. Everything else looks good.

Nice penning Amy, good imagery and expression with insightful line of thought for indeed we need hope to get through the darkness. Take care, Gordon
