Note To Selves

Trying to think of encouraging words
to fold up and lose in my chest pocket
And when I find this there
folded up, and wrinkled
what do i need to hear?
what do i have to say?

Quit being such a sucker, a generous heart
is a blessing and an obvious omen

Don't think for yourself all the time
sometimes a person needs to know
you would grant them the freedom you want

Please strategise and compete,
When you're done playing the fool,
you can teach the best and favorites
of what you've been taught

Do try to not let it all go to your head
Remind yourself of your flaws
and work against the ones that nurture the others
like a psychadelic exclusive disease of self righteous excuses

Are you working again? Is it worth it
or do you need a new tolerable reason to give up and leave the abuse?
Did you find what you were looking for?
Were you obsessed for too long working toward success and greed?

Where are you blind, and does it really matter?
If this moment was like a dream, then where are you in it?
Whats going on and are you going to be right?

Are you all right? Are you doing okay?
Are you drinking or scared?
Did you compromise to hide?
Or openly run away?
