Not Yet

Wind, you're far too busy for me this day
Please, please go away!
Your fractious meddling at day's dawning
Is selfishly persistent this sleepy morning
I beg you let me be!
My drowsiness is too insistent
I cannot move, I will not be woken
Not yet my reverie broken
Daylight in your glaring dress
Please don't breach my heaviness
My soul still holds the folds of dream
My heart's rhythm so serene
My bones softly steeped in fog
I am curled up like a peaceful dog
I cannot move, I will not move
Not yet, not yet....

I love this! Great write! Now if that damn cat will leave me alone--he can't understand why I want to sleep at night.

I can relate...I have two dogs who own me and my bed! Thanks for dropping by, Joe!

A lazy poem, I know how it feels, I am the same...
