Not Worth the Hate

maybe someday this heart will no longer hurt for the innocent souls as every child's turquoise dream turns into a sea of bleeding bullets every mother's fruitful orchard wilts into a field of broken bones but are we too blind - reluctant to see the truth beyond skin and name walking through a fog of ignorance - dressed as egoistic preachers bringing shame to the oath of a warrior - weaving poetic lies what has become of life - does peace come with an unattainable price maybe someday the weight of these words will weigh heavier than hatred and the moon shall rise and sprinkle glistening pearls upon eclipsed spheres…. for now, a world without war, I shall weave in seraphic syllables

'the moon shall rise and sprinkle glistening pearls upon eclipsed spheres' How wonderful would that be? A well-expressed poem dear Ink, with you all the way. I hope the Day of Peace will come sooner then later. There is too much grief already. Love and hugs

Your work goes right along with what we are seeing and hearing on the news each day. I think we are all longing for the Prince of Peace to come and set this world in good order. I wonder how much longer it will be. Thanks for sharing this one with us and for dropping by my page. Sara K

The world doesn't stop for war. Hate is so scary, Ink Empress. As the world watches, all we can do is treasure poems like yours and let our voices be heard. My favorite Monoku are...the last two. Hopefull. Blessings on this day, stay safe! xo~Anaya

Hate is such a strong word.. your poem is one of compassion and love... you highlight so many points here that so many ignore when they are spewing hate.. I wish people who stop believing everything they see online and on news channels.. as all news channels have their own agendas.. they are run by certain people... and there is so much propaganda that increases the hatred.. we need to have an open mind.. need to see it is not always who is right and who is wrong... great poem dear.

Or...watch ALL news sources and quit having selective inputs versus fair and balanced exposition of events. Media is beyond disgraceful now and is virtually irrelevant to world events while at the same time forging and forcing slanted opinions on lazy participants. Learn history. :o/

We must tell the youth how important it is to study!!! History and Politics, Social Studies. It helps who to believe, like second nature. BBC-MSNBC-I love Rachel Maddow-most of all NPR- real people from [[all over the world]] interviews-these are all good ones. ;D

The title tells it all. How pitiful the wages of war are. Blessings.

My gosh, this pulled my heartstrings in so many ways, it's truly disheartening to witness the chaotic storms of rage that hatred can bring, as is evident in the situations throughout the world.. Sigh, if only everyone showed even tiniest amount of empathy, the scenarios would have been different. You've so profoundly expressed these poignant emotions of ache and angst, whilst delivering your thoughts with poetic brilliance! Your word-weaving is so magnificent, "every child's..bleeding bullets"

"walking through a fog of ignorance - dressed as egoistic preachers", "what has become of life - does peace come with an unattainable price" that particular line is so heart-wrenching.. "walking through a fog of ignorance" Sigh, that fog of ignorance should definitely fade away to welcome humanity in this world.. "maybe some day the weight of these words will weigh heavier than hatred" I can feel the angst and ache in your words, you definitely know how to deliver such melancholic and powerful emotions, in such a creative way! I love this poem a lot..

dearest Ink--I'm once again in awe of your poetic artistry and skill. Your imagery is just beautiful and you evoke such emotions regarding the toxicity and absurdity of hate. I, too, often ask, "What has become of life. How did we humans get to this point? I'm baffled and disgusted sometimes with what I believe is just pure evil. Anyway, the truths you reveal are profound. I appreciate the hopeful note on which you ended your piece. It gave me peace. Have a pleasant evening, Sara (faving)

Dear Ink, your poem's beautiful words shine from inside like the stars. The writing flows well and evokes vivid imagery. Your word choice enhances the poem's resonance and paints a picture of a world infected by hate in places where love and compassion should flourish, but sight protects us from the awful truths until we're ready to confront them. This exquisite piece merges solace with raw feelings to reveal the presence of evil in our world. Your uplifting comments etched beauty into my heart.

Wow, this breathtaking piece resonates so deeply..the hate endured, where peace and love should thrive..how we see the world through filtered lenses, until we can no longer be blinded by what truly is..I feel such solace and raw depth in this brilliantly divine piece..seeing the ugliness right in front of us and around the world..you’ve touched my heart with this beauty, my beautiful soul sis!
