Not Wholly As It Should Be

Not Wholly as it should be O holy city set in gold of thee both praise and woe are told. To three faiths the troubled home, we see the spire, the Wall. the Dome. Where once did graze the kid and lamb I behold a traffic jam. In Heaven's name, oh, tell us why property prices are sky-high. O meeting point of East and West, O thou at once most cursed and blessed, show less of your worst and more of your best.

I visited Jerusalem a number of years ago - found it quite stimulating. Like NYC it is not totally living up to its potential according to your work. I recommend going to Voices Israel website where they publish poems and also have contests. I have a lot of poems on Vocies Israel Newsletter and Poets Voice. I will now look at soem more of your poetry.Peace & Blessings Matthew Anish
