Not so funny, honey
It always gives me a kick
To read limericks,
Because sometimes they are funny
This limerick won't be
Cos between you and me,
My eyes and my nose are runny,
I'm feeling off as I have a cough
And also a pain in my tummy.
I am feeling quite ill
And I have no more pills
Because I have run out of money.
I am feeling cold,
Cos I'm very old,
My pantry is bare, with nothing in there
Except for a pot of honey.
But honey is sweet
With every spoonful I eat
My future is starting to look sunny
