Not so funny, honey

It always gives me a kick To read limericks, Because sometimes they are funny This limerick won't be Cos between you and me, My eyes and my nose are runny, I'm feeling off as I have a cough And also a pain in my tummy. I am feeling quite ill And I have no more pills Because I have run out of money. I am feeling cold, Cos I'm very old, My pantry is bare, with nothing in there Except for a pot of honey. But honey is sweet With every spoonful I eat My future is starting to look sunny

Your lines made me smile, Shirley. You should invite Winnie the Pooh over for tea and scones, with lots of honey, of course. I was delightfully entertained by your poem.

Oh not so funny when your nose is runny, don't let it drip into that honey! ;) Sorry, I just couldn't resist! Your poem reflects me for the past few days, I too am sick, but your rollicking poem made me smile! I hope you get to feeling better soon. <3

Thanks for the fun poem to read, Shirley. The realities of aging are sometimes hard to accept, humor is a good way to make the medicine go down. :-) Have a pleasant weekend, my friend. Bill
