I once met a lad from the great state of Oregon As well as I recall his name was Rick Corregon He lived in a rustic tent And painted with great intent But his finest art never made the Smithsonian.

My husband's cousin Steve Corrigan is a fine artist, I wonder if this was about him and you changed the state? Hmmmm Something to ponder.

Probably. I was looking for a state that rhymed. I'm such a stickler for that when it comes to limericks. You can change the name to "Steve Corrigan" if you want...it'll still rhyme.

Maybe the Oregon Trail hadn't been cleared yet?! Could be his art never made it past the Mississippi River! ~ gw

That could be the case, gw. I'll bet he's hanging somewhere up in the northwest! Thanks for the visit, Gershon.

So true, and such a delight he got by living simply and painting extensively. Thanks for the read, friend.
