Gone without notice. Shocking everyone But me. Gone without preparation. Angering the family. But not me. Gone before they said “I love you.” Sorrow surrounds the others. But not me.

A most effective polarity. I love that you don't explain the details. Lets the reader do some of the work. Many of us can relate because of that very reason.

Once again: spare the words and increase the effect (as Line might say). This one moves me (and other readers too, I imagine) greatly, AND the "but me/but not me" lines are open to several different interpretations. Bravo, poet! :) gw
