Not In My House, No Cell Phones

Don't even think of bringing one in. I consider it a grievous sin. If you can't be with me, it's insane don't you see? To visit anyone, but with them, you cannnot be? Now, if you are a surgeon on call, Or the head of a country, I won't recoil. Bells, barking dogs and music I will not stand! So leave it outside, I do demand. Be a true friend, not a multi-tasker. In the electronic world, do not be! Otherwise, you deserve the name: A rude, multi-basker! July 27th, 2019 6pm PST

This is a gem of a poem on this important subject, Pangie. Technology can have its negative side. Great penning xxxx

It does have an evil side, it was not created to wreck humanity, but it does have. that side ……people are unaware of it!. I think you know me by now that I don’t write about life as all being flowers and butterflies. And I know poets don’t want to acknowledge any negative. Fine! I have always wanted to experience and write about all of life. And I have.. and that is satisfying. Writing just about the good times serves nobody Thank you for taking the time to stop by. Pangie xxx

Elena, I forgot I wrote this. LOL. Even though it may seem odd. I haven’t changed my mind.. I don’t have a cell phone in my house and I don’t like when people come over with them. They are disruptive and they find them in store that you can’t even talk to people anymore because they’re on the cell phones, so what’s the point I see them now as in method to call the police. But when visiting someone at least turned them off. I think my poem explains thank you and it’s not poem of the week. (Unfortunately)it’s only one of a featured poem this week.. thank you for reading it. I am just surprised I haven’t changed.. I’m glad I have not Pangie xx.

I must admit it, it can be disrespectful...especially when an in coming call takes precedence over the person you're talking to...A nice one indeed

Great poem , so much truth within my friend. My wife stays glued to hers. I use mine ever so sparingly . And I never use mine to ignore friends/company , etc.... My wife loves Facebook, me hardly ever read or check in there.

Ah, my friend. Many spouses are in your place. I would lose my mind. I avoid relatives in love with phones. I realize these days, it's so in, "to give people their space""""worse, our kids abd grands watch us doing it. Pitiful pattern to set,

Hear hear! I too hate phones. Mine is so old it is practically antique - a bit like me, haha - and I only use to text from time to time. Sometimes I see couples out for a meal and they are both playing with their phones, making no attempt to talk and engage with each other - how crazy is that! Great poem Panagiota - loving the last line, hahaha... with kindest thoughts Ann xx

Have observed same asinine behavior here. No longer want to eat in restaurants. Do cell phones love us? No. Allas, people do think devices are humans.. Thank you....Panagiota xx

Amen, Panagiota: Cell phones and the jerks that use them anywhere drive me up the wall. Anywhere you go now you see people whip those things out to play with. I have a plain-jane one but use it only for emergencies. Glad you l liked the Mermaid write. Have a grand weekend - Bob

Hope this enters correctly. I too, have a simple cell ALWays in airplane mode. Don't need cell waves pinging my house every 15 minutes. Agree cells outside, are nothing but a plague of locusts. That nobody kills.just keep multiplying. Loss of social interaction is a higher cost than the most expensive iPhone. Also adds to electro smog. People unaware of that? Tumors found in brains if one has cell phone next to ear. Sad. Cells are not toys.stay in touch.105 in Central CA. Best to you~ Panagiota
