Not Awake, Alive

I'm not awake
But I'm alive
A life, a lie,
It's all the same
When you're asleep.

I wake
But I'm dead to the world,
The real world,
Where you're around,
Somewhere,
But your absence is

A painful truth.

I'm not awake,
I'm living
A life with you,
Loving life with you.

It will take time,
But it will be
Perfect when
I wake with you
One day.
