Normalcy

A way home. Doors and forests. Resting on a bench. Lurking. We are normal. I like to walk across mysterious bridges. I could go home anytime. Portals can take you anywhere. I want to go. We are normal. Normalcy. Typical. Portals. And time. And shimmering. On the way home, home, home… We are normal! We like to do normal things. Trails. The woods. We have it all. The portal closes at midnight. I know that intuitively. If those boats in the distance carried people I knew… Maybe I would ride back with them. Or maybe they would leave me. A way home. Going home. The portal closes at midnight. And it’s 12:01.
