Nobody Listens

Interrupting at every chance
Why is it nobody listens
Why is it nobody cares

Just once she’d like to express
Her inner self to the full extent

Without needing to elbow
For her place on the podium
For her place in the sun

Why is it nobody cares
Why is it nobody listens

Some of us care, some of us listen! Especially to your wonderful poetry, you have so much to say!

Stop listening so intently. We can't even hear ourselves talk!... LOL. ... Food for thought, Line. ~ gw

Well, the great thing about poetry is- you can express yourself without interruption! ;) I love and FAV this... so perfectly worded! It reminds me of something Caren wrote a while back (about getting together with her friends, where everyone was talking... but no one was listening).

Indeed... Sounds SO VERY familiar. Writing poetry is the best solution I've found too.

I imagine many can identify with this, frustrating feeling you have expressed. Well done :)
