No Way To Thank You
I no way to thank you for all the love and care
that you have shown to me
I come in sometimes broken like a heart
sometimes with not much to say
too much into my introspective world to
come up for air
possibly too quiet for my own good and yet other times
I probably can reflect the feelings that go on -
but enough about me
and more about you being the steady rock for what seems to many years
the voice of reason
the voice of support
the shoulder to lean on
and knowledge, laughter, and a guiding light to show me the way.
You have been the amazing wind that holds up these fragile wings
the one with the compassion and the kindness that would make
any child smile and feel loved.
