No Vacgrancy

People are a selfish bunch The only specie on earth to kill for fun There's only one thing that truly separates us Only one thing that makes us noticeable It has no moral value, socially perhaps Only one thing that really allows us to live Yet most of us can in fact go on without it Without we starve, wanting to eat and willing to kill to do so People say it doesn't buy happiness, perhaps this is right Maybe it can't buy it, yet not everybody has two nickels to rub together It cannot buy it, but it can sell a human Make them starve, hungering for relief Begging for money, for freedom While we stuff our faces, tossing eighty percent of the food we don't want out on the curb Do not laugh when you see a vagrant in your trash No, do not laugh, he may see it as a chance to break down your door, tie you to a chair So he can eat your food, and set fire to your house Just proof of how selfish we can truly be And what anger and starvation can do
