No Umbrella

Constant thunder, but no blubbering - the clouds are dry, dark, sultry; and the soil is crying out for alcohol - A little drink of pink champagne or whisky sour cocktail. No umbrella! Squeeze out the plenipotentiary sopped-up water and let the thunderclouds rip, and roar with delightful glee. Birds and insects, in hideaway, humming softly, resting.

Somebody is tired of the heat and ready for some good old rain drops. I like it, Kim. Bill

I like the idea of rain as champagne...and we need a lot of it here in Texas right now. So hot and dry. Was 104 degrees here today. EEGADS

I love the thunderstorms, the insects and birds and all the joy of rain on a dry thirsty land! We are trying to be careful to try to have umbrellas on hand here at this time of year during monsoons, but if not, a nice fresh summer shower is still a lot of fun :) <3

We are needing a nice cooling generalized rain, but sometimes in summer all we can do is hope. Thanks for sharing this one with us. I can see the scenes and heard the sounds in my mind's eye. Sara K

I think it will be a little cooler. Today, after rain, feels so humid!

We could sure use some in Phoenix. Where I am, have not seen a measurable rain for months. Everything is parched. Very nicely written.

My Aunt said the same. She lives in Green Valley, closer to Tucson.
