No Title, Yet - 56
“Just because you’ve lost every thing, materially,
Doesn’t mean that you’ve lost everything.”*
You are who you are because of who you are, internally.
Material things are just that, material things.
The things that you save throughout your years of living
Are only there to remind you of memories past.
The feelings they spark and the emotions that they bring
Are locked in the depths of your mind and will forever last.
So, although every thing you own was swept away
And the emotional void left behind is very real,
Just remember that you’re alive and be thankful every day.
Emotional scars will fade, but death doesn’t heal.
