It’s hard to describe to one that doesn’t know
The beautiful sounds of living in the desert.
You can stand there and listen to an incredible show
The variety of sounds as your very own concert.
There are the coyotes that howl throughout the night
And the wind blowing through the cactus and the trees.
There are many types of birds whistling during their flight
And let’s not forget the Africanized killer bees.
Then there are those sounds that you’re never quite sure of,
Noises that you’re almost afraid to investigate.
So, you should stay where you are if sleep is what you love
‘Cause the creatures here never shut up, even if it’s late.
