No Time For You

It’s the end of the day and time for prayer.
Though I have gone on in my thoughtless way
With scarcely a thought of you on this day,
I have known I would find you waiting here.

No time was found for devotions today.
Keeping busy was I with my affairs,
Thinking you could wait for my nightly prayers.
But you have been helping me any way.

I am thanking you now for faithful care.
You were here when I turned the clocks ahead
You are here when I’m kneeling by my bed.
You are present when I am unaware.

I must listen to what you have to say
As I’m going about my daily chores,
And remember that all my time is yours.
My prayers need not wait for end of day.

Yes Joyce, God is ever faithful, even when we tend to forget to keep in touch with him he is always in touch with us. Thanks for this beautiful piece. Congrats, Joy (Jew)

What a way to keep HIM always with you and doing the usual work, Joyce. He is there all the time with you and you need not go prayers, it is just a formal way to remember HIM.

This one is very touching..Sometimes we do forget the most important part of our life..If I feel all out of sorts I usually find it is because that I have not given time to devotion, prayer, etc. in the morning....Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog..I appreciate you doing so and for the prayers that have been said and for the prayers to come..I know that God is here with us for if He wasn't it would harder than it is to handle all the things that are happening in my life..Sara

A very beautiful conversation, even a prayer, dear Joyce! When pressing obligations impose on our time we jump out of bed and get right into meeting them, sometimes and then in the midst of doing something you mind runs to Him and He's always there waiting to hear your voice! Absolutely beautiful! Another favorite today! Love, audrey
