No Sin In Telling Lies

I am really afraid In this world of liars To advocate in favour of telling lies But what a mother can do When children sit down to eat And food is not enough to serve Instead of telling truth She goes to tell a lie That she does not feel hungry And tells her children That their father has gone to meet a lucky star And he will come back home soon To lay her children on bed to sleep When she surely knows Her husband has died in an imposed war Neither a father has much to do When his children asks for their mother At the time of sleep Instead of telling truth He goes to tell a lie That their mother has gone to a garden to collect flowers And will be coming back tomorrow in the morning sharp When he knows well She has been raped then killed And thrown away in the gutter by unknown military men.
