No Regrets
Hey,
Dear Old Chap!
Here I am. Look at me. Don’t get puzzled.
Just three and half decades...Let me take you to your nostalgia.
Have you noticed?
I am your image.
You were just 22.
Launched your career with so many ambitions
Busy with your pursuits to fulfil rich hued dreams and lofty aspirations
Yearned to provide comforts to your parents who were old then
When life line was blended, welcomed the lady with much excitement
You wished to take her to lovely places but...
Often she pulled you back as she knew your balance sheet.
Always you were loyal and dependable to your friends
Longed to give bright career to your son and daughter
Sacrificed so many pleasures for their sake
Enjoyed a lot seeing their success stories as if they were your own.
You might have made a little money too to give your heirs.
Hope your mission has been accomplished.
Where are your parents?
Happy, contented and safe in the cozy casket of your heart
What about your children?
Got fledged and flew away as seagulls.
Who is that lean lady with gray hair?
Your beloved lady, yes, she is.
Hope you are free now.
Are you really contented with your journey?
The lines on your forehead say,” You are in pursuit of something.”
You want to run now also?
The more you do, the more they expect from you.
There is no end, my dear!
You have done your best. No regrets!
You will certainly win the blessings of Him.
Because you’ve lived almost like Ben Adhem
Can’t say, “Stop all.“
But take a space
Live for the lady who is your strong morale and always stands beside you and
Live for yourself.
Cheer up! It’s never too late.
