No Regrets
Alas this morning brought such unforeseen sorrow
Break of dawn the light before the morrow
Call of the lark as skies change from black to blue
Dusk settled after midnight as I left you
Encounters painful in the cold light of day
Forgiving the actions of the night and foolish play
Grieve not for the games of the weak of heart
Harken to the promise of the Lark
Intentions often tend to pale against the truth
Just as I tried and failed not to lie to you
Kiss of the rose with thorns to cut and bleed
Let loose the venom pulsing inside on which hate feeds
Master the night and the morning will hold no fear
Nor regrets to settle ever closer near
Offer unto the stars, the moon, the skyline too
Promises if this day could start anew
Question the cosmic design of which were drawn
Rise unto the heavens from whence new life was born
Surpass the expectations made of you
Temptation but the tears of morning dew
Undress before the mirror and reveal
Victorious the inner child now kneels
Welcome home sweet consciousness of mine
Xmas such a beautiful loving time
Yuletide brings the need for all to meet
Zealously my new beginning I rush to greet.
