When the Day Comes Calling..

When the day comes calling
I desperately try to reach out…
…To my dreams
That have troubled me the night prior
…And also to the night
That has given them a lap to sleep on
…To the sleep
That although never came yesterday
Promises me some rest tonight.
So that when the day calls again tomorrow
I have tucked in my restless dreams, night, sleep and all
In one small crease under the pillow!!

Waiting For a Ship To Come In....

Hair caressing my face
                                   as if a lovers’ touch
                                    glare jolting iris
                                  A lighthouse forever
                                  broadcasting the warning
                                      debris flying above
                                      vortex vibrant glory
                                    rubbish has its beauty
                                            Steady
                                  watching and waiting
                                            a galleon
                                         its cargo
                                            of great worth
                                  Westerly gale
                                           howling
                                    against a hunters moon
                                  behemoth of the ocean
                                  crashing against the shore
                                   ghost voices on the wind
                                        lost ships
                                    living in the gale
                                     forever screaming
                                      rope be cast
                                          heave ho
                                           night after night
                                            waiting for a ship
                                             A westerly wind
                                              carrying fulfillment
                                                A precious cargo ….

                                                  A dream that
                                                   one day a ship
                                                    might just come in ….

At Night

it is night time, I see your face in the stars I feel your gentalness with the swaying of the leaves Its night time cold and dark, but the moon warms my heart with the thought that we will be together again soon.

No Regrets

Alas this morning brought such unforeseen sorrow

Break of dawn the light before the morrow

Call of the lark as skies change from black to blue

Dusk settled after midnight as I left you

Encounters painful in the cold light of day

Forgiving the actions of the night and foolish play

Grieve not for the games of the weak of heart

Harken to the promise of the Lark

Intentions often tend to pale against the truth

Just as I tried and failed not to lie to you

Kiss of the rose with thorns to cut and bleed

Let loose the venom pulsing inside on which hate feeds

Master the night and the morning will hold no fear

Nor regrets to settle ever closer near

Offer unto the stars, the moon, the skyline too

Promises if this day could start anew

Question the cosmic design of which were drawn

Rise unto the heavens from whence new life was born

Surpass the expectations made of you

Temptation but the tears of morning dew

Undress before the mirror and reveal

Victorious the inner child now kneels

Welcome home sweet consciousness of mine

Xmas such a beautiful loving time

Yuletide brings the need for all to meet

Zealously my new beginning I rush to greet.

At Night

it is night time, I see your face in the stars I feel your gentalness with the swaying of the leaves Its night time cold and dark, but the moon warms my heart with the thought that we will be together again soon.

The Best

A night of smiles who shsll i tell
a night of experience who shal see
a night of bliss who shall believe
shall i tell ono or no one
i am in a hold who shall set me free, who shall pour me out
believe me

there shall be a believe some day in a belief
which is only endeuring
which is only believing
for those who believe
who trusts
who understands
there i just one he said on e he said
only trust and it shall set you loose

A Tattoo of Stars

A Tattoo of Stars

My shadow from the door
Of the bar room night
Cold as the pavement
In neon light
Silhouettes of a smoke man
Blows clouds through the dark

And I’m thinking
Of someone else’s wishing

Turns the night to a tattoo of stars
Winking in the softness
Of shadowling palms
Swaying to an old song
With the memories of a juke box
I turn my collar to the cold

Friday night is lingering
Another place is calling
Vodka and karaoke singers
In the heat of Mediterranean summers
All left and gone
The streets sing on their own

And I’m thinking
Of someone else’s wishing

Echoed back my footsteps
And the dogs are barking
Wandering down windy alleys
The sea a glinting full moon on the rise
Drops its silver for the haunting
Of a night of tattooed stars

And I’m thinking
Of someone else’s eyes

Hands delve deep to the warming pockets
But the brace of breathing air
Helps to steady the smile
She’s somewhere in the wind there
I can almost feel her cheek
Pressed against the straying breeze

Friday night is lingering latent in its heat
I never new how being alone
Could taste so sweet
And somewhere she is sleeping
With her arms around me
And she’s dreaming

She’s dreaming
Of someone else’s wishing
