No One's Favorite Color

I can't think of anything duller
than brown, no one's favorite color

Who wears a brown-colored suit
Must be a curmudgeony old coot

Search high and low for slacks that are brown
You won't find them in any store in town

And when did you last see a fine brown hat?
---on a soldier for camouflage in the midst of combat?

Yet when selecting a new dining room set
Deep, rich brown is your very best bet

I have to beg to differ. I was married in a gorgeous crushed velvet brown empire-waist dress with an enormous hippie-like ruffle around the bottom. I have never felt more lovely. Other than that, I kind of despise brown so I agree also.

Brown is down - but chestnut, mahogany and copper are the belles of the ball :)

Oh, you're right about chestnut and mahogany. I probably should have written 'plain old brown' or some such. Thanks, Michelle. :) gw
