NO ONE SITS TOGETHER AT THE KITCHEN TABLE ANYMORE--
It's early morning , dawn
new day has come
The reason for the anxiety,
no one set sits at the kitchen table, Anymore
Dad sitting at the kitchen table
with a hot cup of Maxwell house coffee
black, no sugar, nor cream
Smoking his third cigarette
Raleigh's
We don't sit at the kitchen table together.Anymore
Mama's coming to sit down.
She's pouring her a cup of coffee with cream and sugar.
Lighting up a cigarette herself Salem's menthol.
It's before time I'm still yet asleep
In the basement bedroom
Not fully asleep yet not all awakened
I cough from the cigarette smoke
Unbearable, who has the right as a child, to ask a grown-up to put those cigarettes out
We don't sit at the kitchen table together anymore.
My parents together sitting down gathering
Smoking cigarettes, sipping coffee in lateral gathering processing Different things.
Before going into the garage to start up their cars then go to there separate jobs
We don't sit together at the kitchen table anymore
About forty- minutes later i rise, do my hygiene.\nIn the house, it's empty, no wonder but me. We don't sit together at the kitchen table anymore
I may or may not fix me some breakfast.\n My mother may have left a couple of sips of coffee on the table. I steal a sip. Yum! creamy, cool sweet
Lingering in the air toxic stale air
Now strangers to the kitchen, there's no room for cigarettes, coffee or breakfast. For even the table, the kitchen nor both of my parents are here.
My parents gone deceased. The house where the kitchen was torn down and I and my brother alone birth in The Times when families gather together at the kitchen and dining room table. And had 2 to 3 meals daily , including the weekends
This hurts for sure now...
we don't sit together at the kitchen table anymore
For all the those things we sat down and gazed it together for all , but I myself in one other it's all gone now
