No one but you

NO ONE BUT YOU

If feelings came in colors,
I’d choose blue—
The hue of endless skies,
A reminder of heaven’s calm
And the beauty of youth.

If feelings came in flowers,
I’d choose vanilla—
Its sweet, lingering fragrance,
Soft petals like velvet,
Delicate, yet enduring.

If feelings came in fruits,
I’d choose peaches—
Their tender, golden flesh,
A burst of sweetness
That soothes a sour heart.

But if feelings came in people,
The embodiment of all my dreams,
Guess who I would choose—
No one else … but you
