No Need For a Special Day

No need for a special day To remind us of our love Always in our consciousness A treasure from up above Just like welcome sunshine Right after a summer rain Rainbows of pretty colours A gentle sweet refrain A lullaby to soothe us When skies above turn dark Gentleness of falling snow A sweet serenade in the park Two souls adrift at twilight Wistful of days of yore Shadows in the moonlight Starlight on the shore The tender kiss of morning Sunshine o'er the hills The song of the morning dove The call of the whippoorwill Love is really all these things Surrounding us in every way Open your heart and let it in No need for a special day! © Jack Ellison 2014

Gee, with my last morning sunshine I got a sun burn. Tho most of the burn was from a fussy Dragon. He's not a morning person you know. Tho he's not really a person either... And the last time I saw a whippoorwill and Dove... They were screaching at Dragon while they bombarded him. Appears their nests were in a tree Dragon hit while he was landing. Best show I've seen in a long while! And guess what? The birds won! Dragon ran FAST! Why won't he run from me? I'm scary! Honest! Silly Dragon!
