No More, the Sounds of Silence

The blaring voice of a megaphone
the piercing ring of certain phones
The whirring sound of airborne drones
the screaming pain of kidney stones

The crack and snap of a broken bone
  the victim's cries, contorted groans
Bullets whiz past a regime overthrown
  ~ Prithee it be a nuke-free zone

Power-packed Monorhyme, Gershon. I've experienced a couple of these. It really makes me appreciate the "sounds of silence" more. Thanks for sharing your exquisite talent with us. Bill

Nothing can feel worse than feeling deserted by mankind and abandoned by one's god in the midst of a desolation . . . .

The crack and snap of a broken bone…my nephew just broke his leg badly and now has pins and plates. I cannot imagine the suffering of those in war who have little help, perhaps no pain killers and fear. God give them hope and destroy this enemy of freedom. Great write, my friend!

((Prithee it be a nuke-free zone)). And there is no need for all of the commotion and high-pitched tones. Unfortunately, no one is paying attention. Putin is a psychopath who should be held accountable for his crimes against humanity.
