No More Hiroshima

(Every year on August 6, Japanese people observe the Hiroshima day by releasing hundreds of white pigeons in the blue sky of peace memorial park, the then bomb blast area. I visited that area on the Hiroshima day of 1999) ____________________________________________________ I still smell the smoke of an atomic bomb blast There were a lot of broken buildings and human remnants in the museum and the memorial parks…… Many people were victims of leukemia Still many suffering from skin cancers and genetic disorders……. I still smell the smoked flesh and blood of human beings in the air of Hiroshima I still hear the voice of hundreds of unsatisfied souls in the sky of Nagasaki……. No more Hiroshima No more Nagasaki……

Well written Mohammad! Human on human crimes continue! Quest for power and political authority is the culprit! Most of the world is involved, but we can change it one heart at a time with love and respect for our fellow human beings! My best, chuck

This is so true. It was a very sad part of history, one that we can't deny. In a war we all lose even if we win. thanks for sharing... Lucilla

Mohammad....graphic, soulful poem...killing by governments continues....with drone strikes, proxy banker wars (protecting oil and poppy fields) and destabilizing genocides...I see no real hope for our future, sad to say....good, brave poem! Jimbo
