No Kings Day

                            No King’s! Day of defiance
                             Reject authoritarianism tyrants
                             Billionaire-first politics hypocrisy
Then militarization of the country’s democracy
Protests to counter the Army’s 250th anniversary
Trump ratcheted up as a slammiversary
                             As though a wrestler’s match
Performing is his big ego and a king’s vanity
                             Ratcheted down is our humanity
The show, an expensive lavish military parade
This is very low, designated to degrade
Featuring hundreds of military vehicles, aircraft
And thousands of soldiers, resembles a 60’s draft
It’s also his 79th birthday and Flag Day
The flag doesn’t belong to President Trump, not today!
It belongs to us “No Kings”

On June 14th, we’re showing up everywhere he isn’t To say no thrones, no crowns, no kings!
RIP Melissa Hortman Her assassin (the coward) “Politically motivated” cop uniformed in a bogus cop car still at large BECAREFUL PROTESTERS! <3

Anaya, it was quite a day. Shows a lot of opposition to tyranny in the USA. However, as we know, autocrats like D.T. know how to steal back the spotlight. I think that may be the actual reason we've dropped bombs on another country. It's a publicity stunt. We're in big trouble. Take care and love your poem. Smiles!

Hi Anaya, 74 views and you’re the only commenter, I think people are wary of going public with their opinions on politics on this site. Btw, you were right on the cliques.Take care, Richard
