No, I Just Couldn'T - - - Say Goodbye

aimlessly afloat on maple leaves caught in the sky, the abstract fear of heights began telling time a lie- the grains of sand caught in glass began to melt, my right hand fought hard to grasp what your heart felt o’er the mount in front of the fount ravens soar wide, telling fairytales of she who wails ‘cause her quill cried- amidst the drift i lost the will to be what i knew i should, caught in between slivers of fawn barren oak wood cashmere blankets warm me when i think of you, they comfort and give what my soul could never do- i sit amongst the chartreuse blades combing roses white, for i never knew what your heart felt like that night now i lay in graven dreams and pray to angels high- allow my heart to let go of what i could not say goodbye January 19, 2020
