No Death Compares.....

"Oh, my precious Lord..please don’t die!"
"Just over us?" "We are not worth it!" I cried.
"We are sinful and not worth a glance!"
"Why did you choose to give us another chance?"
Your blood runs crimson down that cross!
I did not understand….I was at a loss.
With tears in my eyes, I looked up at your face..
Stained dried blood, I wanted to wipe leaving no trace.
You heaved and casted out your last breath.
I wanted to take you down and to have taken your death.
"I can never take this pain and suffering I have caused you!"
"Lord, I feel ashamed of what I have put you through."
I bow down on my knees, praying forgiveness for my sins.
You whisper in my thoughts that you will rise again!
I fell asleep, feeling ashamed that somber day...
When those soldiers came and took you away.
Your hand rose me up gently from my slumber...
"Lord..forgive me, forgive me!" I cried like a beggar!
"I have died for you and all of mankind."
"Your sins are forgiven!" Those words were a sign.
"Go and tell others of what you have witnessed this hour."
Scrambling to my feet, I went to tell others feeling empowered.

Beautiful write here, Erin. In the last line I think you have a typo and mean "feet" instead of "feel" .... smile ...

The lamentation and beseechment towards our creator brought about a pang in my heart as I read through it,causing a stifle in my breath because of the fervency of heart that flowed right into the verses. This is an ambrosial piece of literary art that I am quite sure created a deep sense of catharsis after having wrote it because that was the effect that I received from reading it.Sincerely,Eric

No death compares to that one, no not one. Good tribute to the one who split the veil from top to bottom. We may now enter into our Sacret Hearts and have communion with truth, but even now few will, Sincerely, Love, Moses
