Don’t you know what that means?
I munch on my apple
Didn’t you hear me? Eat your green beans!

You’re stuck in place
You say “no”…
Stop denying it so
And I say “yes”
But, you can make progress
You’re black
White is what you lack
AND I’M WHITE
Black is revealed in the light
You’re wrong and not feeling right
I’m floating on Cloud 7, much like a kid’s kite
I push forward
You go backward
Something tells me
You said “no” to my love

Do you see the tears I shed, roll down my eyes
Like a rock, rolling down the Kerfly Hills
Instead of the truth, I witness your cruel lies
I didn’t mean to overdose on those pills

You say “you shouldn’t have done that”…
And I say “well, it’s too late – what’s done has been done”
You’re black
AND I’M WHITE
You’re wrong and not feeling right
And I’m right and doing alright
I push forward
You go backward
Something tells me
You said “no” to my love

Unleash your creativity 
Unravel your heart’s desire and put out the fire-envy
Shower upon me your relief
I’ve lost a great part of me
You cannot see the pain you put upon me…
If only you could see…me...blossom pleasantly…

You say “I want to see you grow, but I don’t know”…
And I say “Don’t be uncertain. I’m still growing right before your eyes”
You’re black
AND I’M WHITE
You’re wrong and not feeling right
And I’m right and doing alright
I push forward
You go backward
Something tells me
You said “no” to my love

You’re not a foe – let’s backtrack 
But a friend that got off track
You drift away…I see your spirits sway
The auras that shape your every being has gone astray

You ask “What colors are my auras, handsome?”…
And I say “No – I can’t tell you…hun…”
“And why not?”
“Because…I just can’t.”
I think I can…I think I can…
I don’t think I can’t…I don’t think I can’t…
Be positive…
Don’t be negative…
You’re black
AND I’M WHITE
You’re wrong and not feeling right
And I’m right and doing alright
I push forward
You go backward
Something tells me
You said “no” to my love
I’m free in space
I’m in disbelief…
Shed relief upon my grief
I reduce to ash…
Guilty for the wrong I’ve done to earn this cash
In captivity and spell-bound by deception
Drenched in pride and depression 
Retrace our steps and receive God’s vast grace
Keep telling yourself “you’re stronger than you realize, you’re not alone and you’re not a failure or a total disgrace!”
You just got to keep pace with the others’ who are dying to outrun us in this difficult race and I’ve sweated it for so long…until I realized that I have the gift of a runner – to endure till the end, despite the obstacles, getting thrown at me from every angle…the crowd cheers for us to run the extra mile and we’re passing this test due to trying our very best…let God do the rest and rest on my shoulders for the time being…I would never, ever leave you without a trace…trace…race…ace…ce…e… … .. .
