Nine Nine-A Peaceful Poetic Starting Point

Nine nine

A story I needed to find

My credentials were declined

But it was Sunday, I did not mind

Honestly, I tried

Decided, ‘take a ride’

Into the Big Apple City

Matinee performers dancers presumed pretty

Feeling no pity

Went uptown

Sporting not a frown

Unknowing something soon planned to go down

In less than seventy-two hours

Strangers will flex angry power

Turning the workday sour

Former firefighter house

Turned into a cheese for the mouse

Soap Opera investment

Is where I went

But Blondies ended up packed and full

And of course, I had no pull

Headed closer to the research higher education school

Being not a fool

Academic observation skill used as a tool

Found a dining place

Where television had a table space

Playing Raiders and Chiefs

Kansas City cheer outfits provided tension relief

You see I must confess

The Jets were a total mess

Nine one one

Attack did come

Made a triangle

Airlines ended up entangled

Hijacked and wrangled

Financial skyscraper collapsed

One Pentagon side blew taps

NYC mass transit panic did not occur

Major fallout it would have spurred

Instead,

Not many dead

Media outlets were not fed

Astronomical numbers counted in first responders' head

Maturing Pennsylvania teens

Endured a morning nightmare dream

When the majorettes let out a scream

‘Get the social destructive fiend’

From the physical force

Which we superpowers thought was the worst

After effects may shake

Foundations and years decades it may take

Health care

Should be prepared

Ready and take down any invisible terroristic disease scare

Americans did some yelling

And there was no selling

We are going to war

Violently slapped on our own shore

Agreed unanimously on the two party and Independent political floor

Life went on

We Presidentially elected the affluent New Yorker Don

Along with the nickeling dime VP Pence

Who made Lincoln cents

Added the legal sidekick

Rudy the Mayor for some rhetoric schtick

Pound for pound it was a right pick

Today we argue and debate

Showing democracy traits

As ever so great

Maybe it is time to get things straight

Clearly define who is behind the nasty hate

Then we can truthfully state

Our enemy took the bait

Sealing their eternal fate
