Nighttime Paradox
Nighttime Paradox
Hideous tornadoes have moved on this night,
Storm clouds still flashing in the east,
Fireflies flickering, sparkling, skimming devastation
As if they claim the title of stars,
Mocking skies where barely seen in heavens play.
Tears fall for neighbors’ losses;
Tears fall for gratitude for being spared this dark night,
To watch and walk among the lovely fluttering fireflies.
