I used to say I didn't like shape poetry but after reading yours and David K.'s, I may have to retire that phrase--and try one myself :) I especially like that the swoop with the extended tail looks also a bit like a scythe, making it read slightly ominous / ironic if you squint. Jaymee Thomas June 24, 2025 at 4:34 AM LOL - No, I got that it was intended to be a swing, but I read and reread - especially smaller poems to understand the mechanics, and in doing so, it started to read differently, a little haunting when I realized the shapes were so similar.
