Nightmares

I hear them at night, I see them during the day But they are shadows from the light Leading my thoughts astray. Where do they go Why are they here No body knows That's why they fear They're the monsters under your bed Crawling around like spiders They're the ones that bring the dread That belong in hells fires But do not fear them For there is worse In all the nightmares you've dreamt They appear like a curse They are your fears, They bring only grief But don't waste your tears For your biggest fear is the thief
