Nightmares

Fatigue sets in..
A troubled past had stumbled upon my memories..
Alone and afraid..
Trembling body and shaking uncontrollably
Although the trembling began inside the body..

Cannot escape the madness..
An everlasting fear had spread everywhere
A fearful environment..
Sorrow had grabbed me
A plague of terror ..
Cuts like a knife..
As I ponder what awaits..

Many Sleepless nights..
A sleepy slumber forces itself..
Cannot remain awake..
No longer must I battle..
The battlefield is I..
And Sleep..
Sleep deprived to the core..

Heavy eyelids..
Eyes are closing
As I struggle with eyes opened..

My battle exits no more..
Here lies my sleepy slumber..
Asleep in the dream state..
Frightful images ..
Darkness upon darkness..
Chilling cold atmosphere..

Terrors during the night..
An empty void of fear..
An empty void multiplies..
Chilling screams and cries..
A sour smell of negativity..
Putrid it stands..
Horrifying presence stands..

Running from..
The terror..
A frightful nightmare absorbs the sleep state..

Pushing away..
Gliding away..
Flying away
From Night terrors..

Awakened from nightmare..
Sobbing ..
Crying..

A prisoner of my own sleep state..

Must rise above..
Free myself..
From..
My own prison..
The sleep state..
