Nightmare

For a mind deprived of sleep
Lets out the things that crawl and creep
Things once burried deep inside
Can no longer stay and hide
Twisting and twineing they eek their way out
And find a place to prance about
Breathing new life, joy they find
Filling the corners of your mind
A mind once locked, tidy and tight
With visions yearning to see the light
Thoughts that ache for a place to live
That take much more than they give
They etch a path out of their cell
So their way they learn well
Each time the escape easier will be
To set these dark thoughts finally free
