Nightmare

I'm working through the night
so I won't fall asleep
for every time I do,
into my dreams you seep
the one that broke my heart
the one that saw me feel
the only one I love
the one that was too real.
I'll concentrate on life
without it's summer days,
the winter in my heart,
beats sunburn on my face.
The cold wont reach my skin,
the sunny smile prevails,
it hides from all the world
my blackend, charred remains.
You'll never see me hurt,
I'm much too proud for pain,
I'd rather die inside,
Then let you know you've maimed.

Who are you? I ran frightened of a woman I connected with in Carman MB if it's you I'm sorry but it wasn't my time yet, Or maybe it was and still is what it is and I'm a cowardly prince in your shadow... Whoever she is, she's the only one I think of. No one better than her and I want her all to myself... I'm not obsessed, I'm determined to find her, I'm sorry for running. I'm doing fine, could do better than this. I'm staying posted up right here getting high and writing poetry on cosmofunnel.

I really like the rythme in this piece, and I especially thought the line, "the winter in my heart, beats sunburn on my face" was well crafted...coldness burning...I did note one thing: I believe it should its summer days, not it's. I think we have all felt too proud at some time--choked back pain...sorry that you are hurting. Hope things get better soon- if they haven't already. I've already put you as a fave poet! Welcome, from Cyndi
