Nightfall Arrives
The blanket of darkness lays across the hills
As night settles in and wind stops, it stills
Not a tree moves, as silence consumes
Seeping through walls, into empty rooms
Worn thoughts are left at the end of the day
From taking many turns along the way
Just trying to get things done, to survive
Now it’s time to rest, watch nightfall arrive
