Nightfall

the night falls and swallows the light
the colours and images no longer in sight
i hide under the duvet to protect myself
but its everywhere and can reach inside itself
the moon is left with its eerie glow
a secret sign that know one knows
the stars start to twinkle up in sight
it would be beautiful expect for the night
the sky so big it just swallows the light
leaving nothing but dull bleak sights
im now wrapped up tight
shivering with every single sight
but then dawn breaks and i see the sun
and now i can finally see my mum
the red bright rays chase the dark
theres no trace of it not even a mark
