Nightfall
The sun drifts really slowly,
As it falls on the horizon,
Replaced by pretty moonlight,
That we all have got our eyes on.
Twighlight neither one thing,
Or the other that is true,
As sunlight drifts to hiding,
As the moonlight’s breaking through.
Will we see the stars tonight?
Has sky today been clear?
Will we see the planets,
As the night-time does appear?
Will we walk along the beach,
As darkness says it’s night?
Hold hands while we are walking,
While encompassed by moonlight.
The day dispatched to memories,
P’raps later to recall,
But now let’s move to evening,
In this picturesque nightfall.
