NIGHTERRORS V something speaks in stone

In a realm where silence speaks in stone A fractured facade , all hollowed and alone It stands, a sentinel in broken guise With ancient eyes beneath a darkened sky. Its face, once whole, now torn by time Splits open like a forgotten rhyme And through the crack, the void does creep A doorway to where the shadows sleep. Spires twist from ruins lost in air Climbing upward, defying despair.? With roots of thorn and vines of steel Its crumbling form, forever sealed. Eyes that pierce, yet do not see A watcher bound in eternity.? Behind the mask, the winds still moan Of kingdoms lost and thrones of bone. Yet something stirs within that space A hidden echo, a trace, a face—? A whisper from the past it hides Locked in the prison where time resides. And though the world may break and fall The sentinel stands, above it all Guarding secrets, silent, grim In its heart the void light grew dim.
