Night Walk

Rain slicked streets glisten Neath yellow stains of light Silent save the splash Of random steel phaetons Moving stealthily to or from Goddesses of the dark Wait in the shadows Dressed to entice Street seduction Painted faces, pasted smiles Paradise Cafe Sentry of the city Neon lights Crackle, flicker Suggest safe harbor Stale breezes Scurry through foul alleys Permeate the dark Assault the senses Amble down the street Alcohol fueled dreams Emanate from doorways Cardboard castles Remnants of lives broken Derelict ambitions Night Walk
