Night Vision
I am climbing higher than the mountains,
To a place the birds never flew,
As I swing on rainbow skies,
And dance into misty rivers,
Through the cotton clouds,
Sliding gently over the sunrays,
Up in the warm halls of air…
…I feel free…
I float on the calm, blue waves,
Bobbing back and forth,
As I drift higher still,
And dive into the black sea of space,
Then dip my finger and taste,
The sweet flavors of the Milky Way,
While catching a ride on a comet,
Soaring past the chocolate planets…
…I feel free…
A thundering clash is heard,
As Capricorn and Aries lock horns,
And Virgo giggles,
While Leo combs his golden mane,
The Gemini twins cry,
As Cancer pinches Libra,
I glide past them silently,
Sweeping across the stardust…
…I feel free…
I come to the edge of eternity,
Where time is never a sound,
And sing praises to the Universe,
As I fall back into its hands,
The alarm clock rings,
Telling me it’s a new day,
Opening my eyes, I smile…
…I feel free…
