"THOU WILT KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON THEE." Isaiah 26:3
There's a ring around the moon tonight,
A silver halo rimmed with gold.
No stars bejewel the evening sky,
As we walk streets damp and cold.
The air's a little warmer now,
The snow's begun to melt;
But even so through coat and scarf,
The winter's touch is felt.
As we walk I watch the moon,
Take note of different phases.
It speaks of changes coming soon,
As it's silver light embraces,
The quiet streets now empty,
Of the hustle of the day.
It's peaceful now and all is still,
For most in slumber lay.
I so look forward to the time,
When all is peaceful, still.
When the air is clean and fresh and sweet,
It seems the night is filled,
With a special presence most don't feel,
For their minds are pushed, too filled;
But my soul hears His gentle voice.
He tells me, "Peace, be still."
