Night Passage

No wind tonight.
Just the frosty threat
Of snow for the morning.
The eternal dark revival,
Promising nothing more
than the next day's light.
Kiss me tonight? Will you?
With the distant hum in our ears?
Lovers always find a way
Just as a still night finds the day.
The change hypnotic, translucent, and broad
As we tumble and churn through life's flood.

The last two lines were especially good...We never know what life will hold for us..We just have to take each day as it comes...Enjoyed your work..Sara

Hi Matt. Honoured and delighted that you thought enough of my work to mark it so highly. Loved this beautiful love poem, great imagery. Have a look at 2nd last word. Thanks again. Eamon
