On the 14th April 1912  R.M.S. Titanic on its maiden voyage hit an iceberg in the north Atlantic and within a few hours on the morning of the 15th had sank to the bottom'.

Over two thousand people were on the Titanic when it hit disaster and only 700 hundred people survived.

It affected the survivors greatly and it changed many of their lives forever with many suffering from survivors guilt.

 

 

 

 

Night of Memories

Asleep in my cabin as we crossed the ocean
Woke up with a start to a sound like big thunder
All around me now was just noisy commotion
An iceberg we’d hit that was tearing us asunder.

I have survivor’s guilt suffer nightmarish dreams
See widespread panic hear the sounds of loud screams
I would love to forget that night of memories
But to do so would somehow dishonour the deceased.

So we can imagine the trauma the very memory evokes in the heart of the survivors. Powerful presentation.... We've now gone a step further in the wrong direction, autonomous cars, trucks, planes, etc., It blows my mind how we humans, collectively, never seem to learn.
